Paradise Beach again

We do like Paradise Beach. Bit of a corny name, but that's what it's called. Surprisingly, despite the name, it's not that crowded. The beach is just a few miles from Patong, which is the most crowded beach in Thailand. Proves to me that most tourists really cannot be bothered to get off their lazy sunburned behinds!

A trip to the park

Somehow, incredibly, we had never been to Suan Luang Park until last month. It's a big park on the edge of Phuket City, also called King Rama IX Park. If we want a walk we tend to head for Bang Wad Reservoir (see previous post) or maybe to Chalong Jetty (which is 800m long, so a walk to the end and back is a mile... wow!).

For the sake of my Phuket Blog, I decided to check out the park one morning. I had read that local folks came for exercise, so thought it would be interesting and at the same time I could take a morning walk...

I liked the park, so we all went on Sunday a few weeks ago. On a Sunday afternoon, the park was very busy with walkers, joggers, strollers... much busier than it had been on a mid week morning. These photos are from Sunday 8th June.
