Sunday - Jamie's day off!

Only 1 day off per week can be a bit rough. I like Sundays, the day when I can be with my wife and kids all day. This weekend we visited Khao Khad Viewpoint. John fell asleep in the car, so only Jess and I went up the tower.

In the afternoon, aside from a little shopping, we finally got hold of a video (VCR). Finding one has been hard work. Everyone has DVD players now. None of the big shops sell videos, and when we found a small shop with VCR's for sale, they only had fancy expensive ones. Yesterday at a small electronic repair shop in Kathu village, we got one secondhand for 1,000 Baht (15 pounds). Then I had to go and find a video head cleaner which was also a right kerfuffle. Tried several shops, and finally got one in the Big C superstore. So now we can finally watch some videos that Mum and Dad brought us including the Jungle Book, the Sound of Music, Mary Poppins and Snow White...er, its for the kids, honest.
