The Monks in Phuket: June 2007 Update

Well, as I sit here, John is watching the movie version of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Jessica is sleeping, Mam is doing her favourite hobby (ironing)...

Jessica is settling into school, although the way of doing things is rather different to the Thai classes. By which I mean she has to use her brain! Sometimes she gets praise and stars, sometimes the teacher says she does not listen. I think we are making progress anyway.

Jessica loves to draw and some of her pictures are lovely. She is also developing a singing voice and likes to sing "I can sing a rainbow".

John is rapidly advancing. Talking a lot, learning how to be polite (saying "thank you" and giving a wai to people). He is very sweet.

A picture is worth 1000 words. So...
