October 2007 with JJJJ

It's been a long month. Lots of things going on. Jessica on holiday from school, Jamie had a week off but we didn't manage to do much, Mam's parents came for a couple of days and we bought the land next to our house thanks to a loan from the bank and financial assistance from Monkland :)

We have actually had a fair number of days out despite indifferent weather, and despite Jamie working hard - high season is coming and looks like Sunrise Divers are going to have a good one. We landed a big booking this month - a month-long boat charter for the BBC (!) who will be doing filming of underwater marine life next March/April.

We also had the Phuket Vegetarian Festival this month - you can see photos on Jamie's Phuket Blog.

Jamie is worried about his mum too. Having beaten off cancer many years ago, it's back and next week mum goes into hospital to remove her bladder and have a wee baggie fitted. If Jamie was rich he'd fly home for a while, but darn it... have to keep working.

Jessica and John are very healthy and happy. Sometimes a bit too happy and lively - Mam and Jamie need some peace sometimes! Of course the sweet moments outweigh the naughty ones.

Photos show how people are growing. This blog only goes back a year and a half, but the differences are striking. Well, of course they are - kids grow up quickly, while we adults grow old slowly.
