The Beach Bar

One of our favourite places is called "The Beach Bar". It's in a quiet area of Phuket called Cape Panwa, in the southwest of the island. The Aquarium is down this way too. Many parts of Phuket are far less touched by tourism than the main beaches, and Panwa, despite having a fair amount of development and a number of hotels, is still peaceful. The Novotel is just about 100m from The Beach Bar, but it's unobtrusive. The beach is very quiet, its a great place for the kids to play. The Muslim owners are very nice relaxed people, the food is cheap, the views are great... you get the idea.. we like it.
