The Car
Well, we have gone and bought a new car. A New car. A NEW car. A BRAND NEW CAR. I have not done that before. Had a couple of old secondhand cars in England. The more expensive cost me 800 pounds. You cannot buy a secondhand car for that price here except maybe an ancient beat up old pick up truck that just about runs. The secondhand market here is very different to England.
We've had our car for just over 4 years - a Toyota Corona, nice little runner, the model was much used here as airport taxis. Reliable, enough space for us, but getting older. It was already about 6 years old when we bought it, so it's now over 10 years old and yes the car was starting to show it's age. We realised we'd have to spend some money to fix it up.... and with the secondhand value slowly dropping (but still good for a 10 year old car) we decided to look into a new car.


A few bits and bobs to buy for it like an extra roll bar and some bling, but after a few days of driving this car around... we like!
