Holidays!
May is holiday month. End of the high season for diving, and school term starts middle of the month, so I have to squeeze in my holidays in early May. Unfortunately that's not the best time of year for weather (like I say, its the end of the high season, and the high season ends for a reason). Now, weather can be OK in early May, or it can start to get wet. This year was wet. We also caught the edge of Cyclone Nargis which has killed thousands in Burma (the real numbers may never be known as the military rulers in Burma (which they call Myanmar) are hardly allowing any foreigners in to either report or offer aid).

On May 1st we drove up to Chumphon, 400km north. Mam is from Chumphon and we often go to visit the family. We started early, about 6am, which means kids are still sleeping and we can drive in peace! By the time they are awake we are halfway there. On this trip they were very good and quiet. The photos below are from the drive up and from the first day in Chumphon, relaxing.
