Waterslide in Phuket.. and nobody knows about it!

Well, Phuket throws up some surprises. One Saturday last month we headed to the northern part of Phuket to the Cherng Talay area, which is near Bang Tao Beach and the Laguna resorts (like the Sheraton, Banyan Tree etc..). A friend was meeting us there and although I have driven around that area quite often, we COULD NOT find this darn pool and waterslide. NO signposts at all. Hardly surprising then that when we arrived, we found a very nice pool, a double waterslide and no people except us and a few other "locals".



A very "local" place. It was built for the local community but could make money with a bit of promotion. But.. no. 3 pools actually counting the little kiddie pool, and we had a lot of fun until a load of local kids arrived and really started dive bombing the waterslides. Once I got a foot in the back of the head and almost dropped John and whacked into a local kid we figured it was time to leave, but a great place for the kids to play, close to big tourist resorts and all but impossible to find!
